Bathing Beauties

Nothing better than spending time with your cousins... Samara absolutely adores them.

Samara was too cold to cooperate... but I still love this beautiful face.

Her wedding ring has always been one of my favorites... isn't it beautiful?

I felt kind of mean making a pregnant lady get up on a wall like this but I think it was worth it in the end. :)

Another most excellent class...

I had the opportunity to spend the evening with some pretty lovely ladies. We spent the evening learning from my sweet friend Marissa Vargason. I learned so much that by the end of the night my head was spinning. But the best part is... we found some pretty sweet locations and I'm excited to use them again!!

This gorgeous girl is Karina {KO Photography}
Not only is she a super talented photographer... she's a total babe! We kept saying it's like you're in a Pantene Pro-V ad because she really does have such fabulous hair!!

And here is our little model for the evening... Marissa's daughter. Doesn't she look like she could model for Aeropostale? Hmmmm... we might be on to something here!

My favorite thing about this picture is her little freckles. Aren't they adorable?

Loved it in b&w too!

Thanks for another very informative and fun class!!

(btw, my pictures thank you, Marissa, for saving them from the very blah and very dull life they were taking on in blogger... what a difference you have made! Yay!!)

Camera for Sale!!!

My sweet friend, Rachel, is selling her Nikon D60 and I thought I'd help her sell it if any of you lovely blog viewers are interested. She purchased it in February and is selling it with the two lenses that came with it... which is the Nikkor 18-55mm 1:3.5-5.6 AND the Nikkor 55-200 mm 1:4-5.6. It's a very user friendly camera and is great for a beginner. Perfect for anyone who just wants better pictures dang it... because the regular old digital camera just isn't cuttin' it anymore!

She purchased it at Costco for about $700 or more and is asking $600 or will take offers. So if you're interested let me know...

Oh, and btw, I'm attending another fabulous photography class tomorrow and so I've put my editing on hold. I'd hate to learn something new and wished I could have applied it to every photo I just got done editing... so they will just have to wait. ;)

Fun things are just around the corner! Wahoo!

The Big Reveal

As promised...
I'm so excited that I finally get to share these with you. This was my first real bridal session and I think I got pretty lucky. This girl is extremely gorgeous and although we struggled throughout our session (who would've thought that trains actually still do use train tracks... sheesh!) she was a sweetheart throughout it all.

So at this fabulous location we had two trains come as we were trying to shoot. The second train was not too friendly. The conductor was yelling and screaming obscenities at us and then actually completely stopped the train!!! Seriously?? Yeah, seriously!! We were not about to sit around and see what he had to say so we booked it. I was so sad, though, because we had just started and I had so many ideas there... dang it! Luckily, this girl's soon to be cousin knew of another train bridge that was "inactive." So we headed to our second location...

And here's the second train bridge. It offers a completely different feel, which I like... so we got very lucky!

A little sweetie...

This little girl is just one of a beautiful family of six that I was able to meet the other night. She loves to get her picture taken and it blows my mind... I've never met a little girl like her. When I asked her if I could take her picture she got excited and gave me some of the sweetest little smiles I have ever seen. Completely adorable in every way!

The rest of the fam is coming soon!

And are you anxious to see the rest of those bridals from the "big teaser" I posted a couple weeks ago? The wedding has come and gone and it is now safe to reveal them... the big reveal coming tomorrow! Wahoo!

Moon081pscopy

I also wanted to thank all of you for your wonderful comments here on my little blog. It honestly means a lot to a girl like me. It's now been seven months since I started my photography professionally and to hear that others like what I do makes it worth every step. Thanks for the encouragment and I hope that I can continue to grow from here on out!

Miss Sara

This shoot was a fun one because we had quite the entourage. My friend, Rachel, came along to watch and gain some hands on experience. Plus, Sara's mom, sister, nephew, my mother-in-law, and sister-in-law were all there for support as well. Shoots like these are the best because I'm basically just hanging out with family taking pictures and having a grand 'ol time.
